Air asia is one of the low cost airline which is a malaysian headquartered in Kuala Lumpur. And it is the largest airline in my malaysian country by the fleet size and destinations and all, and asia’s largest low cost-airline by passengers carried and jet fleet. Air Asia was established in 1993 and began operations on November 18, 1996. It was founded by a conglomerate owned by the government, DRB-Hicom. December 2, 2001, the heavily indebted airline was purchased by the company Time Warner former leader Tony Fernandes Tune Air Sdn Bhd for the symbolic sum of one ringgit (about $ 0.26 at the time) with $ 11 million (MYR 40 million) worth of debts.
